All members of St Salvator’s Chapel Choir hold a choral scholarship, which comes with the following benefits:
- Free singing lessons at the University Music Centre;
- Free participation in choir tours, recordings, concerts in international festivals, etc.
St Salvator’s Chapel Choir is made up of students of the University of St Andrews (both undergraduate and postgraduate). Prospective students of the University are encouraged to apply for choir membership during the University application period, that is, in the year before they hope to take up a place at the University of St Andrews. Please note: the application process for a place to study at the University of St Andrews is entirely separate from the application process for St Salvator’s Chapel Choir.
Auditions for entry in Autumn 2017:
- London: Saturday 25 February 2017
- St Andrews: by arrangement, up until May 2017
Auditions for applications received after 1 May 2017 will be in September 2017, immediately prior to the University semester.
A choral scholarship audition consists of vocal warm ups, aural tests, sight-reading of a choral work, and a prepared song. Please bring a copy of the music for the accompanist.
